It began as a representation of tree bark. After a multitude of layers it chose to evolve into a beautiful fall prairie landscape under a crisp blue autumn sky. A thin layer of bees wax over the farm house gives a dreamy effect and this singular focal point reinforces the vastness of the open plains. The work was created using bark, encaustic medium, oil pastel, and raw Mullberry fiber.
