Old Growth "Twins"

This three dimensional textile work was created using resist, eco-printing, rusting, and stitching techniques. Cotton fabric and thread, plants for dying and printing, rusted metal, ink and paint were used to build up layers of fabric alteration. To achieve depth in this composition, focus was on both the removal and replacement of color and an unconventional use of thread.
